Remote work is getting more attention. Data from jobs portal Monster found an 89% increase in searches for \u201cremote\u201d between March 8 and March 29 when the Covid-19 pandemic hit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Searches for \u201cremote\u201d jumped to the No. 7 slot among search terms after not even being in the top 30 before the March 8 to March 29 timeframe. In addition, the term \u201cwork from home\u201d jumped to the No. 1 search term slot on Monster from the No. 10 slot during that same time period. \u201cHealthcare\u201d moved up to No. 4 after not being in the top 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Monster also noted a spike in telehealth nurse searches during the week of March 30 to April 5; these searches increased 71% from the prior week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Banking job searches were impacted as well. Monster data found a 59% increase in new job listings for \u201cloan interviewers and clerks\u201d and loan officers during the week following the passage of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
