Job Overview GENERAL SUMMARY This position is for an experienced WLAN Sr. Systems engineer with deep understanding of IEEE 802.11 Physical layer and MAC layer protocols and hands on experience with implementing WLAN modems. You will be working closely with Product Marketing and Engineering to understand Customer requirements, Design and provide KPIs for new features, work with Engineering and Application engineering on implementing and debugging features. Minimum Qualifications At least some industry related experience in the some of the following: WLAN RF knowledge sensitivity, power control, RF calibrations, RF measurements WLAN Systems/Algorithm knowledge Signal processing experience, MIMO schemes, Beamforming, Multi-User MIMO Link Control: Understanding of collision, CSMA, contention, rate-adaptation, understanding of co-channel and adjacent channel interference effects Management layer: 802.11 management layer understanding, roaming, packet loss above Layer 2, video and voice performance Preferred Qualifications Greater than 3 years of IEEE 802.11 Physical layer design experience - At least 2 years of IEEE 802.11 MAC layer Education: Master's, Electrical Engineering Preferred: Doctorate, Electrical Engineering Education Minimum Qualifications Bachelors - Computer Science, Bachelors - Engineering, Bachelors - Information Systems Work Experiences 2+ years of Systems engineering or related work experience. Skills Certifications: Education Preferred Qualifications Work Experiences 2+ years experience with Development Environment Software such as Apache Maven, Ruby, etc. ,4+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience ,1+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above). ,2+ years experience with Testing Software such as Bugzilla, LoadRunner, etc. ,2+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization. ,2+ years experience with Database Management Software.
