  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.< li>
  • 12 years of project management experience in a technical field.< li>
  • Experience working in cross-functional programs.

    • Experience communicating effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior executives.< li>
    • Ability to balance the immediate needs of the program with the longer-term goals of the greater organization.< li>
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor format and style to match the situation whether in person, emails, documents, or presentations.< li>
    • Excellent data analysis, risk assessment, and problem solving skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

      As a Data Center Colocation Operations Technical Program Manager, you will be deeply involved in nearly every aspect of colocation operations of our electrical, cooling, and IT infrastructure. You will partner with the Google data center engineering team, hardware operations, network infrastructure and third-party data center vendors and operators. In this role, you will be the representative of the operations organization, and ensure operability, maintainability and reliability are critical criteria for Google assets.

      Responsibilities

      < u>< strong>
      • Support site selection process through operational and technical knowledge.< li>
      • Perform operational assessment and risk analysis of third-party colocation sites. < li>
      • Oversee colocation sites facility operation within an area region, with full accountability for this area tactically and strategically.< li>
      • Provide technical expertise during incidents, and coordinate the planning of critical activities.< li>
      • Ensure successful completion of planned and reactive maintenance within colocation sites.
