Position Purpose:

This role provides decision support for key strategic initiatives through analytical insights and process (re)design. They will collaborate with team members within Sandoz Technical Operations, locally, regionally and globally, and also across the Sandoz North American business, partnering with other functions such as Finance, Commercial, Manufacturing and External Supply Operations to drive operational improvement and achieve outstanding performance. Contribute in building of analytical solutions to support the Novartis internal customers on various business initiatives. Innovate and tackle analytics problems and documents results and methodologies. Support and facilitate data enabled decision making for Novartis internal customers by providing and communicating qualitative and quantitative analytics.

Your key responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Serve as Analytics Capability Lead for Supply Chain in North America to develop and maintain analytical platforms and tools, and coach train Supply Chain teams. Work closely with cross-functional teams on strategic developmental projects for business growth and enhancement.< li>
  • Lead advanced analytics and work with the Global Supply Chain teams to achieve End-to-end visibility by bringing in channel market insights and linking to global tools and applications to drive improvement in areas such as sales growth, supply lead time, and service level. Collaborate with various Supply Chain functional teams and other Technical Operations teams to improve process visibility and efficiency for supply into the region.< li>
  • Support metrics development, alignment and deployment, Executes the data related activities like Data acquisition, Data transformation, Data integration, Data discovery and summary of data formats, etc. Tests the experimental design approaches to validate finding or test hypotheses. Develop innovative and effective approaches to solve analytics problems and communicates results and methodologies.< li>
  • Conducts advanced data analysis and moderately complex designs' algorithm. Applies advanced statistical and predictive modeling techniques to build, maintain, and improve on multiple real-time decision systems. . Supports Building powerful visualizations to convey the insights derived from the data.< li>
  • Works on moderately complex & cross functional data science analytics solutions. Aligns with the work plans timelines to meet time frames. Supports to design experiments, test hypotheses, and build models.< li>
  • Follows the given experimental design approaches to validate finding or test hypotheses. Efficiently channelize the ad-hoc issues in demand flows and troubleshoot them.< li>
  • Follows standard operating procedures (SOPs), Stay in sync with all internal functional operating procedures like time tracking, critical metric tracking and reporting, and other internal systems and processes. Comply to all Novartis operating procedures as per legal IT HR requirements.< li>
  • Ability to build web applications using tools such as Python, JavaScript.


    < li> < ul> Minimum Requirements

    < u>< strong>What you’ll bring to the role:
    • Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain & Logistics, or directly related field. Masters, MBA and or PhD in a related field is a plus. with Experience (10-15 years) preferred in business analytics or data science.< li>
    • 5+ years’ experience in Pharmaceutical operations or shown comparable experience in business operational research and analysis, mathematical financial modeling, and or management consulting for operations.< li>
    • Must be proficient in mathematical, statistical and analytical tools to conduct analysis and develop solutions for management decision making across functional areas including Operations Strategy, Commercial, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, and Sourcing.< li>
    • Strong skills with SAP or other ERP, SQL & VBA knowledge and experience in data transformation (aggregation & disaggregation, data cleaning etc.). Exposure & experience in Statistical techniques, machine learning, NLP, etc.< li>
    • Prioritization in a fast-paced environment. Communication with key partners from various functions locally and globally, Operational excellence.< li>
    • Understanding of supply chain Manufacturing quality and associated areas, Experience in Data Wrangling & Statistical ML application using R or Python, Expertise in building powerful visualizations using Tableau Qliksense R shiny, etc.< li>
    • Agile Project management skills
