Job Summary:

< u>< strong>This position is designated as Assistant Manager in the EY Knowledge Business Insights sub-function at GDS and is housed in the Consulting team within the Service Lines domain. In this role the individual would be responsible for delivering impactful analysis and insights, specializing in technology consulting, in accordance with the key priorities of the Technology Consulting leadership. The Analyst should have expertise in synthesizing analyzing data to produce impactful insights with a focus on IT services software market and technology areas like digital transformation, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, internet of things, blockchain, etc.

The Analyst will also work closely at times with analysts in the Consulting team focused on other Consulting competencies and fields of play such as Supply Chain & Operations, Risk, Finance etc. This role also requires to collaborate with knowledge specialists in other domains (e.g. in another sector, service line or geography) to deliver on cross-sector cross-service line topics and initiatives.

The position requires to deliver high quality, impactful research and analysis to assigned projects that enables internal customers (Leaders responsible for Global Competency, Field of Play, Transformative Solutions, Operations leaders working with them, other functions supporting the technology consulting leadership such as BMC, BD, Data teams) to build client relationships, win pursuits, deliver on engagements, and strengthen the brand and reputation of EY.

This role requires the ability to combine strong data analytical skills and a strategic mindset with real-world perspective driven by an understanding of both clients’ experiences and broader marketplace drivers. A collaborative mindset is also crucial, as Analysts have a key role to play in supporting networks within their domain, sharing information across sectors, service lines, accounts and solutions, and using that information to further strengthen the quality of materials produced.

This position also requires awareness and understanding of other EY Knowledge functional competencies and services to ensure consideration of the broad array of EY Knowledge support to their customers at the appropriate time in order to collectively deliver an integrated knowledge plan to the domain.

Analysts work closely with the GDS Domain Knowledge Leader, Domain Analysts and Knowledge Managers to support the domain’s leadership and other senior stakeholders, providing thought-provoking content to help EY differentiate itself in the marketplace and proactively helping to identify new business opportunities and risks. Key aspects of this role include:
  • Provides clear analytical insight and understanding of the technology domain, with responsibility for the execution of initiatives based on a detailed knowledge of the domain’s dynamics and drivers.< li>
  • Engages with domain stakeholders and internal customers to provide a big-picture perspective on the issues, challenges and opportunities facing the domain and prepares insightful analysis on the impact of those trends for EY and its clients.< li>
  • Supports development and co-creation of insights beyond publicly available information by interacting with the Knowledge Manager, account teams, engagement teams and service line colleagues to extract, update, share and use appropriate content.< li>
  • Builds strong relationships within priority accounts solutions service lines markets and collaborates with domain stakeholders and EYK colleagues to bring research, analysis and insights that support business development activities and service delivery to clients (including for relationship building initiatives and specific engagements).< li>
  • Provides research, analysis and insight support to major pursuits, including working with other EY Knowledge and Global Markets teams to deliver relevant analysis on market sizing, market share and market performance.

    • Education:< li>
    • MBA Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification preferable< li>
    • Bachelor’s degree and applicable relevant work experience can also be considered< li>
    • Experience:< li>
    • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in strategy, business analysis, industry research, management consulting or business performance, advising organizations in the technology domain, focusing on IT services software market and tech areas like digital transformation, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, internet of things, blockchain, etc. the relevant domain< li>
    • Possess deep understanding of the applicable domain, strong analytical skills and the ability to develop a point of view.< li>
    • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and interfacing with stakeholders and internal customers at different levels of seniority.< li>
    • Willingness to build a network of internal contacts to help support domain and broader business objectives.< li>
    • Previous experience of working on domain databases (as applicable – maybe sector specific).< li>
    • Proficient in English with well-structured oral and written communications skills; able to explain difficult concepts in a clear, concise and graphic-rich style, using appropriate analytics and visualization tools.< li>
    • Ability to take ownership for delivering customized projects with a degree of autonomy; adept at leading several projects simultaneously.< li>
    • Comfortable with occasional travel and working flexible hours, across multiple time zones.

      • Ability to synthesize and analyze information coherently and succinctly. Able to bring together a variety of perspectives and sources across the domain to deliver compelling analysis that supports business priorities.< li>
      • Confident in understanding multiple business drivers and talented at defining the root causes of trends.< li>
      • Capable at identifying issues and trends that translate into key market-facing initiatives and opportunities for EY.< li>
      • Demonstrates ability to use both qualitative and quantitative research and analysis methodologies, including financial analysis skills, to synthesize information, review data inputs and provide analytic insights< li>
      • Adept at using strategically sound analytical methodologies and capable at coaching less-experienced team members to improve their skills in research, analysis, data analytics and visualization.< li>
      • Understands the firm’s go-to-market strategy and service delivery models, how core business services support the service lines, and how knowledge enables exceptional client service and high performing teams.< li>
      • Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, Power BI. Good experience with large sets of data sets. Experience with data modelling, data analytics, and various data management tools is a plus.

        < li> < ul> Supervision Responsibilities:
        < strong>
        • Starting level of counselling responsibilities maybe provided on case to case basis, so any experience in this area would be an advantage< li>
        • May help to lead multidisciplinary teams, often working virtually across service lines and geographies< li>
        • Limited direct supervision responsibility but must help to cultivate a high-performance teaming environment with analysts in a global, multi-cultural and virtual environment
