Description Assistant Manager – Research - Infrastructure Advisory This is part of the Economics Advisory and Infrastructure Advisory team and focuses on both the government and private sector. With Economics also added as a part of EA-IA, the team supports all activities across the Infrastructure value chain predominantly before Financial Close. Additionally, the team works a lot with the Infrastructure Advisory practices of Oceania, US, Canada, UKI, Western Europe and Maghreb (WEM) along with Singapore. As a part of service delivery, the team is responsible for undertaking the following set of activities: Government sector: Bid evaluation support, including financial capacity study, ad hoc financial study, techno commercial study PPP research for policy development and documentation Business Cases and Cost benefit study Survey collation, study Financial modelling and study - building and reviewing long term project finance models Adhoc research Business Development support in terms of proposals and pre-sales research Private sector: Engagement based research Business Development support: Industry factbooks and Points of View Client Infopacks Financial study The opportunity We are looking for Assistant Manager with expertise in undertaking in-depth research in the Infrastructure sector and sub-sectors to join the our EY-IA Team. Your key responsibilities As a senior member of the sector practice at Infrastructure Advisory, the person would be: Responsible for engagement delivery and BD support for various EY Global Practice Offices Be responsible for Client relationships during projects Be responsible for maintaining an exceptional quality of deliverables within the transport, health and human services (health care, urban development, education and tourism) and power & utilities sectors Assist the practice offices with all forms of high-quality deliverables such as: Business Case preparation including cost benefit study Financial Bid Evaluation Undertaking Desktop research on sectors and other adhoc requests Financial Modelling and analysis Assist the practice offices with high quality business development support including: Proposal preparation support Desktop sector research Company Infopacks / Pitch-books Benchmarking studies across key indicators Developing Industry Primers and Go-to Market strategy Will be responsible for own deliverables as well as overseeing the deliverables of the subordinates at a project level The projects lead by this team members would be medium to complex in nature The Team Member will have people responsibilities and would be a counsellor (if the role demands) for 1-2 team members Maintain strong engagement related communications with the clients in practice offices through email, Skype, video conferences and any other form of communication Travel on assignments abroad, as required Skills and attributes for success Exceptional business writing, research and financial modelling skills Demonstrated experience of working in infrastructure or Power & Utilities and/or should have exposure to research-based engagements Supported with proposal preparation and submission to the consulting tenders for Government as well as multilaterals (Asian Development Bank, World Bank, USAID, DfID) (preferred) Hands-on experience in using MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint is a must Exhibit strong thoughtfulness and problem-solving skills Knowledge of research databases like Factiva, ThomsonONE, Capital IQ, BMI etc. will be an added advantage Basic understanding of Alteryx and Visualization tools To qualify for the role, you must have Minimum of a Post Graduate in Management / MBA from a reputed college / University.
