Manager – IT Strategy and Architecture Consultant

< strong>12-20 years of experience

Job Purpose:

< strong>Role is responsible for:
  • As a Manager in the Technology Transformation team under Technology Consulting Sub Service Line of Consulting, the ask is to independently work on various IT Strategy Enterprise Architecture Digital Transformation projects for our customers across MENA and grow the team.< li>
  • The candidate should have a breadth of knowledge of Enterprise IT Applications, awareness of IT Governance practices, Emerging technologies in IT< li>
  • Needs to have a high-level understanding of IT governance (Cobit ITIL) and IT Operational concepts (ITIL, Cobit etc).< li>
  • Convince clients on the benefits of one technology over another. < li>
  • Familiarity with creating Technology comparisons and benefits assessments< li>
  • Knowledge on various application integration methodologies and the benefits of each< li>
  • Knowledge on one or more of these Enterprise Architecture tools: MEGA EA, Planning IT, IBM RSA, Sparx EA etc. is desirable< li>
  • Candidate should be able to contribute to visioning workshops for IT Visioning exercises. < li>
  • Performing sales, pre-sales, business development for the firm and actively engage in responding to RFPs, Oral presentations to clients and negotiations< li>
  • The candidate should be open to travelling and will have to work directly with EY clients on projects. < li>
  • Candidate should be able to create and conduct client presentations.< li>
  • Candidate will need to articulate the deliverables to clients at various levels starting from technical IT staff to CXO, Board Director< li>
  • Candidate is expected to advise the client on the latest technologies and how they can be used to achieve their Business Vision< li>
  • Demonstrable professional technical writing expertise and client presentation skills.< li>
  • Big 4 experience is a strong advantage; Government, Oil & Gas experience is a plus.< li>
  • Experience in working with GCC clients preferred.< li>
  • The candidate should have experience in working directly with the End customer

    • Develop the practice through the active engagement with EY practice teams and clients.< li>
    • Perform sales, pre-sales, business development for the firm and actively engage in responding to RFPs, Oral pitches, and negotiations< li>
    • Provide guidance on long term technology and architecture decisions to senior management of business units and IT< li>
    • Anticipate and understand major technology changes to ensure the client is in the competitive landscape.< li>
    • Candidate is expected to cover a significant subset of the following capabilities and skills:< li>
      • Analyse the technology environment and identify the current state of IT Landscape< li>
      • Identify the gaps that needs to be filled based on the future business direction< li>
      • Create a future technology landscape for the Enterprise that will help achieve their future capabilities.< li>
      • Develop Enterprise level IT Design principles< li>
      • Develop Enterprise Level Application architecture covering the presentation layer, Application layer, Data layer and integration requirements < li>
      • Identify the Emerging technologies suitable to fulfil the business requirements< li>
      • Develop high level Functional requirement specifications requirements based on To- Be business processes and requirements< li>
      • Translate business practices and processes into architectures to enable delivery of appropriate solutions.< li>
      • Design ICT technology road maps aligned with the ICT and business strategy.< li>
      • Undertake high level research, horizon scanning and analysis to identify future ICT trends, and assess applicability to support business objectives.< li>
      • Strong business analysis skills and experience, including development of business vision and strategies, functional decomposition, requirements capture, process modelling.< li>
      • Provide advice on integration best practices< li> < ul>
      • Provide high level strategic advice for future investment in ICT systems and processes to support business objectives.< li>
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.< li>
      • Strong external internal customer orientation; ability to empathize and build rapport.< li>
      • Outstanding communication skills to interact with business managers and executives to identify security initiatives.< li>
      • Customer-focused with an energetic attitude and ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment.< li>
      • Detail-oriented with the ability to focus on granular level compliance and security issues.< li>
      • Must be open to travel –50 – 60% travel required to GCC countries< li>
      • Interface and communicate with the onsite and or offshore coordinators.< li>
      • Completion of assigned tasks on time and regular status reporting to the manager lead.

        < li> < ul> Qualifications
        < strong>
        • BTech MBA MCA in a reputed institution with a sound industry domain experience (preferably government public sector, Oil and Gas, BFSI) and relevant experience with 12-20 years.< li>
        • Extensive experience in Big-4s, IT Industry Majors or Management Consulting firms< li>
        • Certifications around Enterprise Architecture: TOGAF is a plus< li>
        • Other technical certification on Solution Architecture is a plus< li>
        • Cobit or ITIL certification is preferred
