Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant - Mainframe Developer Responsibilities! To partner & collaborate with IT & business stakeholders To create, develop and maintain the Settlements backend platform framework To deliver functional enhancements to existing bank infrastructure. To create & implement high profile programs across Group Operations and Group Operations Solutions Delivery helping build and develop the Settlements Apps. Will be responsible for improving overall maturity, coverage & establish testing standards & processes To build on Investment Banking knowledge especially Settlement processing, General Ledger and Bookkeeping functions. Opportunity to set the design & coding standards of the development team Candidate will be part of the global team that owns the platform Responsible for delivery of the application components in the Securities & Settlements domain within Group Operations and Solutions. Will be expected to plan and conduct successful unit, performance, system, integration and acceptance testing, ensuring applications are able to meet stringent functional and non-functional requirements To utilize the latest tools to execute all steps of SDLC stages. Qualifications we seek in you! Minimum Qualifications Bachelor in Computer Science (BE or B.Tech) Preferred Qualifications Be proficient in Technical stack/tools such as Mainframes – HPS, COBOL, JCL, CICS, MVS, DB2, MQ Series. Knowledge on Investment banking or back office Settlement applications will be added advantage. Can understand and handle environment configurations for AD & QA teams Ability to dive into existing application code base to resolve functionality Can effectively communicate with project managers, business analysts and Tech Leads Required to work in a complex and dynamic environment Ensure high-quality component-level design and implementation of strategic components through the entire software development process using multiple delivery models Adhere to standard coding practices and deliver defect free product E xtensive expertise in mainframe technologies required – COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS. Knowledge of Powebuilder is a plus. Prior experience on HPS will be added advantage !! Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle Financial Industry/Investment banking experience with Settlements background will be added advantage Strong communication skills oral and written. Good analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills Diligent and dedicated team-player with good interpersonal skills and multitasking abilities. Ability to analyze business problems and devise effective IT solutions. Extensive practical software development experience with a “best-practices” mind-set Strong incident diagnosing skills/Incident management Be able to work in global teams and adapt to an agile environment.
