< u>< strong>The Opportunity

< strong>The Fabric Sourcing Intern’s responsibility is to work side by side with the Fabric Sourcing team members to focus and align the Global Sourcing organization to meet the QVC & HSN’s customer demands by offering the highest quality product at the best value possible. Through daily e-mail communication with our offices, agents, direct suppliers, and cross functional team members, this position will cultivate strong relationships to ensure proper implementation of QxH procedures, adherence to T&A’s and proactive identification of issues that could impact the business.

This position will have additional learning opportunities within sourcing, design, merchandising, buying, supply chain, compliance, quality assurance and distribution as well as leadership visibility across the organization through special projects. You must be either a junior, senior, or graduate student at the time of the internship. We do not accept recent graduates into the internship program.

Your Impact

< strong>Track And Update Fabric Status For All Brands
< u>< strong>
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members in Design, Sourcing and Buying on sourcing new fabrics and work directly with mills suppliers on sample yardage fabric triggers.< li>
  • Track and Upload Internal Fabric Testing Reports, call out any issues to Fabric Team.< li>
  • Input and or verify fabric details into the production tech pack and raw materials BOM to insure accuracy of raw material information in the tech pack.< li>
  • Partner with Global Sourcing team, vendors and suppliers on bulk quality issues and developing a “go-forward” resolution.< li>
  • Maintain and update division fabric library.< li>
  • Support Fabric Manager in facilitating communication and development of new brand trims including but not limited to label packages, metal trims hang tags.< li>
  • Partner with Fabric Sourcing Assistant in managing Sample Yardage information< li>
  • Help to organize the Studio Park Fabric Library< li>
  • Monitor the material management data integrity in Flex PLM system.< li>
  • Track and monitor Fabric with Claims that are in garment production< li>
  • Ensure cross-functional teams meet milestones as per the Time & Action Calendar.
    < li> < ul> Reporting And Analysis
    < u>< strong>
    • Measure and track supplier performance metrics in terms of delivery, quality, execution and communication.< li>
    • Monitor and track fabric and raw material information in the WIP (Work-In-Progress) to insure on-time garment deliveries, bulk yardage booked to date.< li>
    • Identify opportunities for fabric quality consolidation across all brands and support Fabric Manager in creating fabric positioning strategy.< li>
    • Run PLM fabric analysis reports

      • Must be able to work in a hybrid (in-person & virtual) environment from September – December< li>
      • Enrolled at an accredited college or university (Must be a current student)< li>
      • Completed at least four (4) semesters of college from the following majors: Textiles, Sourcing, Merchandising, Business, or another related major< li>
      • Experience in Retail is strongly preferred< li> < ul> < div>< body>< html>
