Role Purpose: Manage day to day ERP service operations in the most cost-effective manner, while preparing technology transformation to new SAP technology (e.g. S/4HANA) and eco-system. Ensure stability and integrity, operating mission critical applications that are used globally across all Novartis divisions. Manage the service delivery model with standardized services, processes and tools to provide efficient, high quality industrialized services. Responsible for service operations for all SAP applications. Major Accountabilities: Lead a large team (internals & externals) providing services to different business units. Define and implement the operating model that provides services in a standardized manner Meet or exceed service targets, by managing the overall operations in an MSP model with external suppliers. Ensure stability and integrity of all systems in accordance with application uptime requirements and Information Security guidelines Monitor, measure, report and review performance of services and ensure IT meets business needs. Ensure appropriate operational service documentation is created and maintained throughout the application lifecycle Play a key role in identifying and seizing opportunities for continuous service improvement. Define and maintain services catalogue and ensure consistency in offering these services in an industrialized manner Collaborate with other support functions, such as procurement, finance, HR and etc. to contribute to larger strategic objectives, including buy vs. make decisions. Deliver services in compliance with all applicable internal (e.g. IM Framework) and external (e.g. SoX, GxP) regulations Build and grow a high-performance team. Serve as point of escalation, review and approval for key issues and decisions. Act as a steward for integrity in the operating model Take decisions on resource and capacity plans in line with Business priorities and strategies and close collaboration with delivery teams. Minimum Requirements Higher education, such as a degree in Information Technology and/or relevant business education 18 - 22 years of overall experience in IT preferably in a global company. Strong and sound leadership skills. Proven management experience within a matrix organization Customer Orientation – ability to communicate & align with Senior IT and business stakeholders. Strong experience in managing large application portfolio of varying criticality within a Managed Service Model, including strong vendor management experience Experience in designing and implementing efficient governance framework to ensure service quality. Experience in leading delivery of complex ERP projects, having completed at least 2 full multi-year and multi-country global deployment programs in a senior lead role Experience in leading global teams and SAP Operations (preferable with Pharma Company). Familiar with recent developments in SAP technology strategy, solutions and deployment options as well as experience with at least 1 SAP Functional module. Cross functional knowledge desirable In-depth understanding of business processes and the interrelationships with IT processes. Familiar with new deployment and operations concepts with ERP (e.g. agile delivery, productization, DevOps). Hands-on experience desirable Experience in audit management (internal and external).
