Data Architect EY is looking for a motivated, result-oriented and quality-focused Data Architect with relevant technical skills to provide consulting services for our clients. Understand client stakeholders' data-related requirements, consolidate them, rationalize redundancies, and help design solutions the client needs. Work with business solutions leaders at EY and clients to collect and translate information requirements to develop data-centric solutions. Define functional and non-functional requirements for Data Analytics solutions and make sure that the solution adhere to clients' requirements Recommend suitable architecture that would solve clients' business issues and data analytics aspirations. Own and drive the architecture for client projects Lead a team of technical people, mentor and guide them during various stages of the client interactions and projects Communicate and translate the technical solution to the wider EY team and other stakeholders Candidate must have experience across the data value chain, including information strategy, data architecture, data governance, and information operating model Understanding of data modelling tools, data warehouse and hosting environments are required Adheres to industry-accepted data architecture principles and standards to meet technical and business goals Design ETL processes models and troubleshoot existing ETL processes when required Help our clients streamline data flows and models, improve the consistency, quality, accessibility, and security of their data Prepare designs for database systems and recommend improvements for optimal performance. Design and lead data cleansing and standardization procedures Design and develop various enterprise reports or dashboards using suitable BI tools Design and lead the implementation of various components of the data pipeline that include data integration, storage, processing and analysis of enterprise data Analyze business requirements and derive conceptual data models by identifying entities and the relationship between them. Identify attributes and create logical and physical models that fit clients requirements. Help clients in setting strategic direction for database, infrastructure and technology stack Advise infrastructure recommendations through capacity planning & sizing exercises in collaboration with our infrastructure teams. The opportunity We are looking for a Data Architect with expertise in Technology Consulting to join our Data Analytics team. This will provide the candidate with a great opportunity to be part of a leading firm and be instrumental in the growth of Data and Analytics capabilities. Your Key Responsibilities Provide consulting services to help our clients establish and deeply embed industry-standard data architectures while aligning to their data, technology and business strategies. Provide consultancy in areas such as (but not limited to) Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Architecture, Data Modelling, Data Quality, Document and Content Management, Master Data Management, Open Data, Personal Data Protection, Data Security. Provide recommendations on data best practices, technologies, industry trends and evaluate vendors and service provides on behalf of the client, Help clients identify areas of opportunity with regards to improving data quality and lead initiatives to resolve long-standing quality issues. Work on business development activities, including proposal building, pre-sales, and oral presentations with prospective clients. Experience in Cloud-based (AWS/Azure) big data architecture. Excellent understanding of distributed computing paradigm Should have excellent knowledge in data warehouse and data lake technology and business intelligence concepts Should have good knowledge in Relational, No-SQL, Big Data Databases and should be able to write queries Should have strong implementation experience in all the below technology areas (breadth) and deep technical expertise in some of the below technologies: Experience in data integration tools like Talend and Informatica as well as big data solutions similar to Flume and Kafka Experience in data visualization – tools like Tableau and Power BI Solid understanding of Master data management (MDM) Understanding of data processing frameworks similar to Spark Hands-on experience with multiple databases similar to PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Oracle, MS SQL Server, NoSQL (HBase / Cassandra, MongoDB), is required Knowledge of various data modelling techniques Experience in cloud data eco-system, specifically with Azure and AWS. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capability Good understanding of the data eco-system, both current and future data trends Mentor junior consultants in the Data Analytics team. Work closely with technology and SI vendors, partners and other EY Teams to deliver to the needs of the client and the Technology consulting practice. Establish strong relationships with clients and the wider EY network Skills And Attributes For Success Good understanding of BI and Data Warehouse, Reference and MDM, Data Integration and Interoperability, Documents and Content, Data modelling and design, Data Science, ML and Big Data, Analytics and Dashboarding. Establish strong relationships with clients and the wider EY network Certifications on Cloud Platforms for Data architecture and analytics To qualify for the role, you must have Bachelors or Masters degree from a reputed institution with a sound industry/domain experience Have experience in Big4 consulting or Technology Consulting firms Excellent communication skills with consulting experience is a pre-requisite A valid passport for travel and open to medium to long term travel to MENA region.
