Job Description – Manager Analytics (insurance) EY is looking for a motivated, result oriented and quality focused professional with strong analytical skills to drive and lead insurance analytics engagements. The candidate must be highly quantitative and must have 10+ years of experience in driving sector specific statistical, stochastic or machine learning based solutions with 5+ years focused into insurance analytics. A clear business acumen in terms of claims life cycle management, reserving and pricing to translate business problem into analytical problem. Position: Manager (1/2) # Positions: 1 Location: Bangalore Roles And Responsibilities The position requires a person to work on global engagements (US, Europe, APAC) in any area related with insurance vertical. The requirements are- A desirable candidate should have 10-12 years of experience in the field of analytics with 5+ year on insurance analytics Should have 5+ year of experience in handling end-to-end modeling life cycle (development, validation, deployment and monitoring) Demonstrated ability in team mentoring, project management and client relationship management for two or more years are needed A strong quantitative background, excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and excellent presentation skills are necessary for the role. Should have hands on experience in developing claims models (severity, subrogation, litigation, CAT event), reserving models and pricing models. Should have experience in cloud and big data platform to get the models created and operationalize them in real time Proficiency in working and querying large data sets and understanding of insurance databases is must. Experience in IoT, unstructured text, image data is an added advantage A strong conceptual understanding of statistical and machine learning based models- regression, ANOVA/ANCOVA, optimization, time series forecasting, bagging, boosting, neural networks, SVM Good logic building to create a solution and excellent programming skills in Python, Pyspark, R, SAS to develop the models Own development, calibration and recalibration of analytical models Guide data architects to prepare the relevant data marts with right analytical requirements Proactively engage with business and other teams to discuss the models and analysis results Documenting and presenting work to the client. Proactively generating insights and suggest business decision making Qualifications and Skill requirement: Candidate must have a Master’s degree in any quantitative field or a BTech with significant analytics/machine learning experience 10-12 years of experience in analytics solutions 5+ year of experience in insurance analytics 3 years’ experience in end-to-end modeling life cycle Proficiency in Python, Pyspark, R Experience in cloud and big data platform Experience in IoT, text, image data processing is desirable Good problem-solving skills Excellent communication, presentation skills EY | Building a better working world EY exists to build a better working world, helping to create long-term value for clients, people and society and build trust in the capital markets.
