Join us as a Release & Environment Analyst

  • We're looking for a motivated analyst to help us grow our Google Cloud Platform offering< li>
  • You'll manage platform releases and support version control for Toolchain applications in our Google Cloud Platform< li>

    < li> < ul> What you'll do

    < strong>As a Release & Environment Analyst, you’ll be helping to grow our Google Cloud Platform offering by preparing the release and environment strategy, plans and estimation for Toolchain-related applications, such as Terraform Enterprise. W orking closely with the Release & Environment Manager, you'll assist in delivering new releases and completing regular audits for the end-to-end release process, highlighting any risks and conflicts along the way.

    Day-to-day, you’ll also be:

    • Supporting a set of non-production environments and maintaining non-production environment dashboards< li>
    • Building and deploying into non-production environments, deploying planned and approved changes into production and facilitating code management< li>
    • Maintaining details of the environments, helping to configure and provide new environments or decommission older environments< li>
    • Improving or removing manual steps and enhancing the deployment and management phases of the development lifecycle, focusing on automation

      < li> < ul> The skills you'll need

      < strong>To make an impact with us, you'll need the ability to highlight opportunities for automation and continuous improvement in Terraform, Puppet and Ansible, along with the confidence to push these through for prioritisation.

      Some programming knowledge relating to Python, JavaScript, Node.js and Infrastructure-as-Code would be a real advantage.

      You'll also bring:

      • Experience of managing toolchain products such as Gitlab, Tower, Artefactory, Vault and XRay< li>
      • DevOps engineering experience, in both cloud native and on-premise technologies< li>
      • Great organisational skills, with good planning and multi-tasking abilities too < li>
      • Practical experience in Kubernetes or Docker
