GENERAL SUMMARY Qualcomm IT is looking for "Network Engineer, Senior" to work on Qualcomm’s global network, a role based in Bangalore.

This is a senior position in the company responsible for network engineering and operations of Qualcomm's world-wide Data Center networks, LAN, WAN and load balancers. We are looking for an experienced staff with solid hands-on in routing, switching, data center technologies, application delivery control/load balancing, automation, cloud networking, etc.

Responsibilities:
Network Engineering & Support in a large global IT infrastructure
Perform network implementation, upgrades, and Support operational tickets.
Provide Network support for production, office, and end-user environments
Support a broad range of projects, from enterprise-wide initiatives to localized solutions that may span across multiple departments or functions
Able to work under own initiative, address and resolve problems in a pressurized environment
Ability to produce RCA of incidents impacting network with minimum supervision and support
Be comfortable working in shift as required
Able to work as part of a virtual global/regional team with cultural and language differences
Able to deal with ambiguity and work independently with minimal supervision and guidance
Develop and maintain network documentation using MS-Visio, Power Point etc

Technical Qualifications:
Required:
7+ years of experience working in large heterogeneous networking environments
Routing & Switching Hands-on Networking Skills (Enterprise & Data Center)
Expert level knowledge and experience with protocols/technologies such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VRF, HSRP, Access-lists, STP, QoS, vPC/MLAG, VLAN, VXLAN, AAA, Radius/TACACS etc
Demonstrable experience working on Cisco IOS and/or NX-OS
3+ years of working experience designing and configuring Arista network switches
Experience working with networks with 10G/25G/40G/100G switch ports.
3+ years of working experience with application delivery controllers/load-balancers. Citrix Local and Global (GSLB) load balancers preferred. Expert level knowledge of VIPs, PKI/SSL, SSL Offload, and DNS as it relates to application load balancing
Knowledge of client-server architecture. Experience with TCP/IP operations and troubleshooting
Knowledge of datacenter installation and cabling standards
Working experience with Linux and windows.
Experience with Ansible and/or Python automation for networking
CCNP or equivalent certified
Knowledge of network security technologies, firewalls, VPN etc
Knowledge and experience on Wi-Fi Technologies

Preferred:
CCIE/JNCIE certification
Experience with Ansible and/or Python automation for networking

Education Requirements
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent experience

Industry Standard certification CCNP or CCIE
